Easter Week Junior Competition 2016

Big chocolate eggs were being played for during the March competition which fell on the juniors Easter school holidays. It was a close battle with our lower handicapped players playing the best (or smelling the chocolate) this time. David Schneider had to hold his nerve coming down the stretch. At level with his handicap through 15 holes he was being closely followed by Rocco Repetto and Fermín Palma. Rocco played the last 3 holes in 7 points including a 3-putt at the last when pushing too hard and Fermín mounted a charge with 8 points over the same stretch. However, David kept calm, matched his opponents and closed out in 7 points too giving him a 2 shot cushion when the final putt dropped.

Final scores were:

Winner – David Schneider, 37 points handicap 14

2nd – Rocco Repetto, 35 points handicap 6

3rd – Fermín Palma, 34 points handicap 9
