Mid-April saw 60 players compete in the sixth annual Cliff Porter Memorial Trophy. Cliff was Club Captain in 2007 and his son Daniel flew in from England to team up with Mum Maxine in presenting the prize. It is an Honours Board event with an AM AM stableford format, meaning the best 2 scores from 4 on each hole. The winning team was our captain Nick Easter, Gary O.Neill, Graham Blackburn and John Lewis with a score of 93 points.
Runners-up with a score of 90 were Martin Turley, Bernadette Turley, David Robinson and Frank Smyth.
Well done to everybody who took part and many thanks to Maxine and Daniel for their continued sponsorship.
