One more year we have hosted at Santa Maria Golf Club the Tournament of Chefs and Sommeliers which is being held during Marbella All Stars 2018. This event takes place within the framework of Marbella All Stars 2018. It’s the second edition of this competition which, as a novelty, this year it has had the participation of the best sommeliers in the province. The journey began with the explanations of our Pro Dean Symonds who shared keys and tips with the participants so they could get the most out of their game.
Malaga’s haute cuisine professionals tested their skills playing golf, and all of them emphasized that golf courses are excellent spaces to develop gastronomic experiences. These are quiet environments in which quality service and exclusive services are offered can attract a very demanding type of client.
The dynamic of the tournament was very interactive and was based on introducing the ball on a boat located in the center of the lake. The winner of this second edition was the Sommelier Juan Antonio Lara and the Chef Marta Raspall. The objective of Marbella All Stars in including this tournament among the activities of its third edition, is to associate the concepts of Haute Cuisine with excellence in tourism which is related to the practice of Golf.
After the Tournament they enjoyed a walk through our facilities, and a wine tasting by Lara Selección, Niño de la Salina, Lacas del Pedernal, Málaga Virgen and Aliquindoy and ended the day with a cocktail on the terrace of our Hoyo 19 restaurant.
The participating chefs and sommeliers had the opportunity to test their skills for this sport in an unbeatable environment. Our golf course has 18 holes and is located next to a beautiful pine and oak forest. The installations and views make it the perfect destination for lovers of outdoor sports and nature.
III Marbella All Stars
Marbella All Stars is the Brand of the Haute Cuisine of Andalucia. This year we have celebrated the third edition of its annual event, the inauguration took place at the Gran Hotel Don Pepe. It is a very important event for the gastronomic sector which brings together leading figures with the aim of claiming for Marbella the haute cuisine and presenting new products. It has the sponsorship of the Málaga Provincial Council through its brand Sabor a Málaga and also has the backing of the City of Marbella.
This third edition had the participation of 300 professionals, among whom were prominent Michelin chefs, restaurants, caterers and hotel chains; sommeliers and room managers; heads of food and beverages; exclusive hotel managers; producers, winemakers; representatives of public administrations or journalists.
In addition, attendees enjoyed talks and presentations and a networking space where they had the opportunity to exchange views. Marbella All Stars continues to grow and evolve every year and in this edition there was live cooking demonstrations and awards for the best ambassadors of Malaga products.
